Oatmeal and Almonds

It can lower cholesterol, boost the immune system, protect the heart, and stabilize blood sugar. Oatmeal is also known for helping you feel full longer. If you add almonds not only does it taste good, but you add in the benefits they provide: reducing risk of heart attack, protecting artery walls, help with stronger bones and teeth, healthier fats, and support good brain function. This is one power packed duo!

Yogurt and Fruit

Greek yogurt will provide you with more protein than regular yogurt and help you feel full longer. Add in some strawberries, blueberries and raspberries to provide antioxidants and high fiber with lower calories. Another power packed duo!

Veggie Scrambles

Saute some cut up vegetables in olive oil, then add eggs and scramble them together. The vegetables help prevent the extreme highs and lows of blood sugar levels. This keeps your appetite in check. Avoid the cheese and butter, but you might want some salsa for a kick.

Bagels and Avocado

Take a break from the bagels and cream cheese standard. Choose a whole grain bagel and top it up with a great source of protein and good fat, an avocado. Avocados are a source of protein and packed with carotenoids with antioxidant properties. Tomatoes are good toppings as well.

Lifestyle changes that are as simple as a creative switch of some routine food items can make a difference in your health in a positive way. You might find you have more energy and enjoy that morning time.
